Continuing Tea Lessons for Chanoyu Study

The Way of Tea is best savored by those who study tea preparation. Lessons emphasize the role of the guests as well as the host. You must be a member of the Urasenke Tea Ceremony Society to attend lessons. There is a sign up list for lessons. You must contact the Center to select the time appropriate that is convenient for your schedule and we will inform you when the classes have openings available. After you indicate your interest in a specific lesson time, there may be a waiting time for openings at the specific time chosen due to a limited number of spaces available.

Those attending morning classes should arrive a minimum of thirty minutes before class time in order to purify the space and make the necessary preparations for lessons being held that day. Those attending afternoon classes should allow an appropriate time after the class to put all items away and to leave the place in order for the following morning's preparations.
